Pathways to French for Grade 3 & 6 Students

As you may be aware, our School Board provides two French Second Language pathways in Grades 4 to 6.  These are Extended French (1/4 day), the same as your child’s current program) or Immersion French (1/2 day).

Both the Extended and the Immersion Pathways are programs of excellence and high expectations.  Each program allows for students to excel in French Language acquisition to serve them at school and beyond.

Students going into Grade 7 2021-22 must also select their French program.

Please complete the French program selection using the electronic form below by February 26, 2021.  For further information on French Programs at the Ottawa Catholic School Board, please visit the following website:

Park a Block/ Walk a Block

posted Sep 11, 2020, 10:14 AM by Lina Bélanger

Help keep the School Zone safe by reducing traffic as much as possible. If you are driving your child to school, please park a 5-10 minute walk away.

OSTA has prepared Walk-A-Block maps that show pathways and quiet side streets within a 5-10 minute walk of your child’s school.

When parking on a side street, remember to park away from pathway entrances and intersections and watch out for pedestrians.

A short walk before and after school is a great way to get some exercise and fresh air. Check out the  Walk-A-Block maps for your child’s school.
